Called to Love, Called to Serve

We are Nico and Vicky, a missionary couple with a deep love for discipleship and an unshakable compassion for the people of Malawi and the refugees seeking safety here. For the past nine years, we have been actively involved in cross-cultural missions, and since 2019, we have committed to serving wherever God requires us. Today, He has placed us in Dzaleka Refugee Camp near Dowa, in Central Malawi, where we serve as full-time missionaries among those who have lost everything.

We are here because our hearts carry a burden—not one of sorrow, but of a relentless love that compels us forward. We have seen the fear in a child’s eyes after witnessing violence, the desperation of a young person dodging bullets, the grief of a widow watching her home burn to the ground. We have heard the silent cries of a 10-year-old girl suffering unspeakable abuse, and the anguish of a mother mourning a child lost to starvation. While we may never fully grasp the depth of their suffering, we share in their longing for love, hope, and healing—and we know that true healing is found in the presence of God.

Our Mission: Love in Action

Our mission is not just words—it is action. Every day, we walk alongside refugees, offering hope, guidance, and the unwavering love of Christ.

  • Pastoral Discipleship – We are committed to spiritual mentorship, guiding those who seek refuge in God’s love and helping them find peace and restoration in their faith.
  • Art Ministry – We provide a safe space for creative expression, where refugees can process trauma, express emotions, and hear God’s voice in the quiet moments of creativity.
  • Special Projects and Community Upliftment – We engage in transformative outreach projects and community upliftment initiatives aiming to make a lasting, lifelong impact.

Following in Jesus’ Footsteps

When people ask why we do this, our answer is simple: because Jesus would.

If He were walking among us today, He wouldn’t be confined to a church. He would be out in the world, among the broken, the hurting, the refugees—offering love, comfort, and restoration. This is the path we have chosen, the journey we embrace.

Together, we are beacons of hope—lighting the way for refugees to find healing, purpose, and a renewed sense of belonging. Through discipleship, art, community care, and compassionate service, we are committed to loving, serving, and uplifting those God has called us to.

This is our calling. This is our purpose. And we will follow wherever He leads.
